A statement, also known as a eulogy or a religious tribute to a deceased person, is not easy for most people to write or think of. The memory of the loved one would play a large role on how to best deliver the eulogy and will also be a good avenue for you to explore.
In many cultures and religious traditions, part of these rituals is the delivery of a eulogy, a short memorial message celebrating the person's accomplishments and important moments. Perhaps you're not accustomed to public speaking, and the mere thought of speaking in front of a crowd makes you nervous. Often times you will be able to get a discount or added services because you are being referred by a member of your church.
Once you've gathered your information, decide how you will organize it. Do not try to embellish your story with half truths or lies. If you are asked to speak at a memorial or funeral service and are having a difficult time writing down how this loss has made you or the family feel, consider including a poem in your tribute.
Your love for the deceased person will be felt by the people who are listening to your speech. And it doesn't end after death.
